11×14 print of watercolor painting of ‘Palmer’s Christmas Truck’
Palmer was an old farmer from just east of Northfield. He was an avid tractor collector. Every week, Palmer would drive either one of his tractors or this old pickup truck into town and sell fresh eggs to everyone in the neighborhood. I always liked to ask him about his latest tractor finds, and I’d pretend I knew what he was talking about when he got into all the details. He was a really nice man, and now his daughter lives on the family farm and decorates her dad’s old truck for every season. It’s one of my favorite things to paint.
